What is JWU?
Johnson and Wales University was founded in 1914 as a private, nonprofit, accredited institution of higher learning. JWU has approximately 15,000 graduate, undergraduate and online students enrolled at four campuses in Providence (RI), North Miami (FL), Denver (CO), and Charlotte (NC). An innovative educational leader, the university offers degree programs in arts and sciences, business management, culinary arts, education, nutrition, hospitality, physician assistance, engineering and design. The university's impact is global, with more than 100,000 alumni from 155 countries pursuing careers worldwide.
Where is Providence located??
Providence is located at the head of Narragansett Bay, with the Providence River running into the bay through the center of the city. Providence is one of the oldest cities in the United States. With its colorful mix of historic and modern architecture, the Creative Capital offers a college-town feel with a city's thriving concert, arts and theater scene. Providence is 45 minutes by car from Boston, Cape Cod and Newport and three hours from New York City.
